I’m an Arkansas educator and teacher seller with big dreams. I am a bit of a tech geek who loves my energizing tea and reality TV.
I didn’t always have my own business: the blog, the courses, the TpT store… in fact, just a few years ago you would have found me going from class to class, school to school, coaching teachers. I loved my job, but my love of creating curriculum changed the way I looked at how I could impact others on a bigger scale.
At the age of 44, I received a letter that would change my life. A letter to “pay me” to quit the job I loved. Little did I know, the decision to leave my secure teaching job would lead me down a path with lots of peaks and valleys. A path that I'd like to share with you.
Today, I live in the country with my husband in a home we remodeled together on our 20 acres of land. I have 3 adult children, a son-in-law, and two grands.
Right now, I’m probably sipping my tea and dreaming of ways I can help teachers in their classroom, their business, and in their life. I want to share ways they can live more and work less; whether that be in the classroom, as a teacher-seller, or bringing out that God-given talent that has been tucked away for far too long.
If you're reading this thinking, ” I thought this was a blog about teaching?” It is…but I've decided to follow my heart and tell my story.
If what I write resonates with you (and I hope it does); grab a book and a cup of coffee and stay awhile. I'm going to share with you things I love about teaching in the classroom, ways to grow a business, inspire you with all the things that I love, and remind you to take care of yourself.
If this sounds intriguing to you then get started on your journey:
- Learn creative ideas for your classroom
- Build confidence in using technology with your students
- Start a side hustle building your edu-empire (or other passion)
- Take care of yourself — the world needs someone like you
